The Sinc Haircut Laboratory is a laboratory for anyone with hair. A scientific approach to haircuts + no nonsense product knowledge. Located in Houston, Texas, our gender-inclusive environment, focuses on the essential things, like the client, instead of the sales.

Courtney Richards

I’ve been a hairstylist for a little over 11 years officially, but lifelong in technique. I vividly remember cutting my own hair on my grandparent's bathroom sink when I was 2. In 2015, I became very discouraged with the direction the industry was headed. I felt like we were only focusing our attention on marketing and the next new thing, and leaving behind technology and science. Finally, I was brought back in with a flash when I discovered clients still did care about their hair. I started educating clients instead of styling them. Providing an in-depth strategy for each hair type that found its way to my chair. Since then, I’ve been on a path to create The Sinc. A gender-inclusive environment, focused on the essential things, like the client.... instead of the sales.

Phillip Rios

I've been cutting hair for around a decade now, and I have definitely found my niche in barbering. I spend my time quietly crafting ways to perfect my haircuts even more. I have a background in education and was honored to teach up and coming hairdressers for several years. That being said, I believe that my experiences with teaching and my barbering skills help me understand what my clients want. I hope to bring this to my chair every day.
